A psychiatrist’s counselling improved my situation

Image
My situation A few years back, one day, I suddenly fainted on the lawn of my office. It was quite a hot day, along with that there was huge stress to reach the targets at year ending. My colleagues gave me cold water to drink after I came back to my senses. After a few days, again I fainted in my home. I went to a doctor along with my father, and I was diagnosed with probable epilepsy, and was prescribed antiepileptic. I started taking it, but my faint attacks continued to occur. While taking the antiepileptic, I suffered from severe abdominal pain. Subsequently, I was diagnosed with pancreatitis. The antiepileptic was the probable culprit that caused the sufferings, as I came to know later. We were utterly confused about what was to be done.      My treatment As I was in unbearable stress, my father booked an appointment with the best psychiatrist and took me for a checkup. I suggested the best psychiatrist for my son's friend

My son is in 3rd standard in a reputed school in Kolkata. His best friend stays nearby. During this lockdown, my wife started teaching both my son and his best friend so that they neither get bored nor do they give up on their competitive attitude.  This online way of teaching and learning is yet to be accepted by many children as they miss their school and the fun they used to have, along with studies and extra-curricular activities. This work from home concept has taken all the peace of our minds. Towards the beginning of the lock down, my manager had verbally forced me to work 12 hours a day. I tried to manage at first but failed, so I directly talked with him over the phone about the situation but of no use. I had no other option than to work for at least 12 to 13 hours a day. It affected my sleep as I was under stress. Once I tried talking to the head, he also said that nothing could be done as everybody worked hard. When it was the time of appraisal, I neither got the hike of salary I expected nor could I secure the position I deserved and worked hard to achieve.  I got anxious. At first, I thought it would go with time, but my anxiety attacks kept on coming back. My wife witnessed all my whims, and she d...
